On October 7-8 the WOW Summit will take place in the National Harbor, Maryland. It is a 2 day conference full of education, inspiration, and a lot of fun. Attendees get a chance to interact with other moms, brands, and speakers on this journey for living a healthier lifestyle. Plus you get to fill your bags with a lot of great better-for-you-products.
I am looking forward to the entire conference. Friday is all about bloggers, with workshops, networking with brands, and a party to end the night. The on Saturday, it is a day for like-minded moms. WOW Summit will have guest speakers, more workshops, and tons of samples from the amazing sponsors. And everyone leaves with swag! Who doesn’t love that?
Get a glimpse into the WOW Summit by watching this video with highlights from last year’s event in San Diego.
Speaking of samples and brands, the WOW Summit has some really awesome ones being a part of it this year. Brands like Solgar, National Geographic Kids, Tasty Bite, Mary’s Gone Crackers, and Nordic Naturals just to name a few. Check out the complete list of sponsors here. Do you see any of your favorites?

LeapStart is made to get kids excited about everything from creative thinking to STEM with fun replayable activities that teach life and school skills. The goal is to help kids build tomorrow’s skills today, so they will be ready for school.
The LeapStart is great for quiet time, family time, and road trips. With all the different activities and challenges, the kids would spend all day on the LeapStart if I let them. What if my kid is older than 7? My 10 year had fun helping her brother and playing on her own. If your child is an avid learner and explorer I think they will enjoy the LeapFrog LeapStart as much as my kids.
Setup is easy. Just pop in 2 AA batteries and connect it to your LeapFrog account. Download the audio content for each book you purchase for your LeapStart and within a few minutes you are ready to learn. There are books available in four different learning levels and each book includes over 30 activities. For more info about the LeapStart and to see all the books available, visit LeapFrog.com. I also like that the LeapStart has a spot on the back to hold a book when not in use.

From a teacher stand point, I think the LeapStart is a great way to get your little ones comfortable with school skills and give them a head start for the school year. By making the learning fun, LeapFrog is making it easy for parents to prepare their kids for preschool, Kindergarten, and first grade without putting pressure on the kids.
As a mom, I have always trusted LeapFrog. It is a wonderful company that always brings the awesome alongside the education. My kids enjoy their time engaging with the LeapStart books and I can sit back knowing they will retain this information for later use during the school year.
And the kids? Well here is what they had to say: So cool! And did you see this game in the Space book? Rawr I’m a leopard!

I strive to make a difference everyday. Sometimes it is just having a smile for someone who looks like they need it, or paying for someone else’s coffee when I get mine. My grandmother is the one who inspired me to do good. To be the change I wish to see in the world. That is why I wanted to share with you about the 100 Good Deeds Bracelet available at Macys.com.
100 Good Deeds is not just a phrase, it is a lifestyle. These bracelets not only inspire simple acts of kindness, but also transforms communities by empowering the vulnerable women around the world who craft the bracelets by hand.
You can find these beautiful bracelets at Macys.com for just $30 each in a variety of colors.
Each bracelet is made of an adjustable nylon braided cord with 100 glass beads. Once you pick your favorite color (or 3!) wrap it around your wrist three times. Each time you do a good deed, move the rubber ring one bead close to the “1GD” button. Not only will you be reminded to do a good deed but just buying the bracelet itself is a good deed. Each bracelet is made by a vulnerable woman in Africa, Haiti, India, Bali, Indonesia, or the United States, many who are HIV+. This project gives the women a way to support their families through their earnings.
Mine was handmade in Uganda by Nabasa Ester. Thank you Nabasa!
I thought a long time about who I would gift with The 100 Good Deed Bracelet. After praying about it, a certain associate at one of our favorite retail stores came to mind. She is always going above and beyond not just for us the regulars, but for anyone that walks through the doors. She wasn’t working the day we dropped off the bracelet, but I left it with a note, signed by the kiddos and myself. I hope that when she saw it, it put a smile on her face like she always puts a smile on ours.
Gifting these beautiful bracelets is kind of addicting. I know I will be picking more up at Macys.com and I hope you will too! In the meantime, look for ways you can do a good deed. Maybe buy someone’s drink, pay a single mom’s rent, or bless a local women’s shelter with some much needed necessities.
One reader will win a 100 Good Deeds Bracelet of their own to keep or to give to the do-gooder in their life!

Stonyfield and prAna can get you there with the first two. Remember the fun prAna outfit I shared last time? This time I’m back with a beautiful, sustainably made Quinn Dress in Indigo Lace. This dress is very comfortable, soft, and perfect for a Summer cookout, walking on the beach, or lounging by the splash pad while the kids have fun. It comes with a built in shelf bra so rocking the strapless look is more comfortable. I typically do not do well with built in bras because I am curvy, but I was happy to find that the Quinn Dress along with my own strapless bra worked well to keep everything where it should be!
Excuse the paleness, that is as tan as I get!
Satisfy the craving for something tasty with Stonyfield’s Whole Milk Greek Yogurts. Available in 4 flavors: Blueberry, Cherry, Honey, and Strawberry.
