Your kids are going to love these wickedly cool Descendants 2 dolls from Hasbro. They are a must have for any Descendants fan and doll collector. But don’t take my word for it. The kids are here to share all about the dolls!
Thank you Hasbro for sending over these dolls. Affiliate links included.
In Descendants 2, Mal returns to the Isle of the Lost to find her enemy Uma, the daughter of Ursula, teaming up with Harry, the son of Captain Hook, and Gil, the son of Gaston. She has to save Ben and decide where she truly belongs.
And now you can act out your favorite scenes with the new dolls from Hasbro.
Think dolls are just for girls? My son thinks Jay and Carlos are the coolest villain kids ever. He couldn’t wait to play with the dudes of Descendants and show off their killer dance moves.
It might be a little early to be thinking Christmas, but these dolls are sure to be on the top of your kids’ lists!
Hasbro did an awesome job with these dolls. They are vibrant, poseable, and hours of fun are to be had playing with them. The kids have only put them down to go to school. Darn school!
That smile you get when you are twinning it up with Carlos De-Vil!
Now when their favorite movie is on, they have so many ways to be W.I.C.K.E.D. You might want to clear some floor space, those dances can get pretty intense!
Watch as the kids unbox the new dolls and share their excitement for Descendants!

Come meet American Girl of the year Gabriela McBride! She is a beautiful doll with an inspiring story. We just love her and think you will too!
Gabriela uses the power of poetry to help her break down barriers and overcome a personal challenge with stuttering. Her line features several performance-inspired outfits, fun accessories, an adorable kitty, and more. Additional Gabriela products and books will be available starting in spring 2017. And for the time time ever, this new Girl of the Year collection will be available beyond 2017!
As with other American Girl dolls, she comes with a book that begins her story. Two additional books will be available. Gabriela is a sweet, creative girl who has a love for the arts. Although she stutters, she discovers that her poetry helps her speech flow more easily. This gives her the confidence to find her voice to help save her beloved community arts center from being torn down.
Another exciting offering from American Girl to go along with Gabriela, is their partnership with Scholastic for Express Yourself, a custom curriculum program that teaches 3rd-5th grade students how to use poetry as a tool for self-expression.
The free materials will be available on www.scholastic.com starting March 1st, 2017, and include teacher lessons and corresponding classroom activities, a poetry poster, plus parent tips and learning ideas to do at home.
Also to celebrate National Poetry Month, the program features a poetry contest for students that will run throughout the month of April.
My girl couldn’t wait to get Gabriela out of the box to play with her. You can see her unboxing and review in the video below.
Visit your local American Girl store to bring home Gabriela or visit AmericanGirl.com to see all things Girl of the Year!

No matter how old you are, you can speak up and create change for the better. Lift your voice with Melody Ellison by learning more about her story and how you can share yours.
Melody Ellison is a civil rights believer, chorus leader, and daughter of Detroit. She is all about inspiring girls and their families to be a force for positive growth and change. Nine year old Melody provides a glimpse of life during the 1960s. This is a time of great energy, optimism, challenges, and change. With the struggle for equality and justice still prevalent today, Melody bridges the past and present for girls and shows them how ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they come together to make a meaningful difference.
My daughter loves Melody, not only because she is a beautiful doll with cute accessories but because of what she stands for. My husband is bi-racial, and reading about life during the Civil Rights movement, she knows that if we lived during those times we wouldn’t be allowed to be a family. She wouldn’t have her friends at school either. Life would be very different from as she knows it today.
Just like Melody, my girl has a kind heart, she stands up for what she thinks is right and does her best to create change in her own little world. It warms my heart to see her lift her voice and I hope that Melody inspires girls everywhere to do the same thing.
My girl is sharing a story about how she used her voice to stop a bully on the playground at school.
American Girl wants to hear how your girl lifts her voice whether it’s through art, poetry, photography, or even song for a cause. For complete info about the Lift Your Voice campaign visit American Girl.
Have your children ever used their voice for a cause?
Thank you to American Girl for sending her to us. All opinions are our own.
